Berkut pres­ence in Maidan is jus­ti­fied based on saying that there are thieves and ban­dits present. Meanwhile, po­lice fire gren­ades into the building where Maidan or­gan­isers were based. That set the building on fire, and people died in the flames be­cause they could not get out in time.
