The German chancellor and French president have said the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) could help oversee a truce in Eastern Ukraine. This comes after speaking with the Russian and Ukrainian leaders jointly over the phone. The US is continuing to threaten Russia with more sanctions if they do not act to withdraw their presence in Ukraine and at the Ukrainian-Russian border.
Oleksiy Reznikov, the Kyiv City Council Secretary, has announced that the new Kyiv government will be combating corruption and is considering how to allow residents of Kyiv to be allowed to sit in on sessions of Kyiv City Council: “We have to ensure maximum public access to the sessions of Kyiv City Council. This matter is being discussed. I believe we will find an option which allows Kyiv residents to attend sessions.”
